Yo Yo KR Alumni!
That's right! Its time to settle the score again.
Once again, its time for the annual KR Alumni Day, with this year's themed as KRarnival.

For those of you who never knew, KR Alumni Day is a day in December where the KR alumni return to our alma mater.

We head down to the courts where we once sweated, trained and competed our guts out in the journey to bring glory to KR - and challenge the current day residents in our favourite sports - soccer, handball, frisbee, volleyball, netball, takraw, to name a few.

Now that most all working and this includes sitting around on our butts all day, this is a great opportunity to stretch those butt muscles and get back the exhilarating rush of adrenalin on court, running hard, strategizing and working together to get the next goal/point. This is also practice for the current KR teams who will compete in IHG 2010. We have heard over the years playing against the Alumni gives the teams a real boost, as it replicates a real match and they learn very much from the Alumni who have played countless IHGs.

Also, its a great time to get back in touch with the other alumni. Its not easy for one to gather back old friends, and we usually wait for people to call us out. This is that call you have been waiting for. For not only sports will be played, but our very own favourite KR sport- Frisbee will be a highlight, there will be Wii consoles and board games (for those who feel like giving sports a miss) set up in the lobby and there will be a massive dinner together.

Oh by the way, this is the 5th consecutive annual Alumni Day- and the Alumni have been champions the last three years.

So.. if the stats are correct, we have won 100% of the years, and we look to continue this streak this year and we will definitely need YOUR help.

We will be back with more information on which sports there are and how you can sign-up for the day.

Till then, please bookmark your calendar - 12 Dec 2009 - for a day of fun, coming back together as a Hall to KR, good old memories, butt-stretching matches, exhilarating moments on courts and a superb dinner thereafter! We hope to see you there!

Production: The Devil's Encore

'The Devil's Encore', a jazz theatre piece running from the 27th November to the 6th of December at The Arts House at just $20 per ticket via the attached booking form. It presents a bitter-sweet meditation on the duality of life and death, love and loss, against a haunting medley of jazz standards.

The Devil’s Encore is written and directed by award-winning playwright Bryan Tan, and performed by Robin Goh, accompanied by Julian Wong on piano.

The Play Den Productions is a joint venture between The Arts House and Orangedot Management Pte Ltd to produce theatre pieces that are Singapore in origin but with a global appeal. In a small intimate setting without the frills of a large set and cast, we hope to share stories and voices that are truly ours. We are proud to present our 3rd production of our maiden season " The Devil's Encore".

Robin Goh is a singer, actor and radio DJ. Currently he co-hosts the morning drive-time radio show on 883JiaFM, the only bilingual radio program in Singapore. In theatre, he has been seen in plays and musicals such as Chang and Eng, Asian Boys Volumes 2 and 3, as well as his own one-man show, Happy Robin, among many others. He has also sung in various other venues in Singapore, including the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre and the Esplanade Concert Hall, with various small groups, as well as the Singapore Chinese Orchestra for their Casual Concert Series.
