MAYDAY - KR Alumni Gathering on 1 May 2010


Hi alumni!

The KRAlumni Comm periodically organises get-togethers with food/games etc. In the past we've done beer-tasting, wine-tasting, boardgames and etc.On 1 May we're having a mini-gathering at Brendon's place. Thanks Brendon!

There will be boardgames, WII, and GUITAR HERO. and oh yes! a chocolate fountain! :D

Nothing really special, just a gathering of people who used to stay under the same roof. There're probably lots of people you didn't get much time to talk to last time, so now's a great time :)

The old rockers are also especially invited to the merrymaking. Or probably, because they can show the rest how Guitar hero is done. But don't let that intimidate you, please help to invite all the cool folk that you are still in contact with.Come join us for a great afternoon music, games, and food!Please indicate your interest!

An awesome concert featuring KR Rockers Alumni Bands!

Some of the alumni who'll be performing include: Jiemin, Ian Low, Ivan, Yingqi, Eugene Lim, Shane, Lin, Alvyn, Eugene Lam and co. from the 1991 batch.

Also, featuring for the first time ever, a special collaboration between KR Choir + KR Rockers!

Spread your love to the villagers in Huay Kow Lip village in Chiang Mai!

Tickets are priced @ $12 (inclusive of 1 free drink).

All proceeds will go towards funding our Youth Expedition Project!

22nd - 26th March 2010

KR residents are once again going for a Youth Expedition Project.

The carwash is an initiative to help raise funds for them to do some good overseas and to commit service to the needy in the name of Kent Ridge Hall

Their aim through this car wash is to raise $1000.

Please do go down and support them even if you have not bought a car.

KLASS Sharing Session 2: Concluded

We have completed our 2nd KLASS sharing. The response was almost a twofold increase from last year, with close to 20 odd residents attending. 9 alumni came back, including our guests speakers – Sunny, Wei-Ern and Brendon.

The session was entertaining, comical and informative to the attendees, especially those who were game enough for entrepreneurship and yearn to be their own boss 1 day. The guest speakers were not shy to share their secrets and tips to where they are today and all concurred with 3 main principles – Discipline, Dare to Dream and Perseverance to the eventual success.

On behalf of KRAC, the residents and fellow alumni, a big thank you to the 3 speakers! You guys were really inspiring.

Alumni - FYF Steamboat 2010


The annual Alumni CNY reunion steamboat will be held on 26th February (Friday) at Admin Block 3rd Floor Linkway from 630pm onwards.

FYFs will also be joining us this year as we welcome them into our alumni family. If you don't already know, 2010 is a very special year for Kent Ridge Hall as we celebrate our 30th anniversary. We would like to invite past and present Kent Ridgeans and family to join Kent Ridge Hall in reminiscing the glorious past and in celebrating our 30th Anniversary in 2010.

To kick start the celebrations and to share our blessings with the less fortunate, KR has organised a Charity Run to aid the Children’s Cancer Foundation by trying to raise $60,000 for them.

CCF is a foundation that aims to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families through enhancing their emotional, social and medical well-being. KR sincerely invites all to join us in support this meaningful cause while celebrating a significant milestone in KR's history.

There are 2 categories for this run, competitive and leisure. To participate in the competitive category, form teams of 5 runners with at least 1 female runner. The winning team gets to walk away with a $100 CASH PRIZE!

Do look out for the exciting line-up of performances by KR's very talented culture groups after the event, after which refreshments would be provided.
